Intangible Dream

I wish dreams were real,
That the valiant knight from Camelot,
Would tame the dragon,
A wild heart, into service.
That the seemingly dainty maid,
Could throw off the sewing and slay a giant,
Claiming the heart of the mysterious stranger.

I wish dreams were real,
Unfolding wings like an angel,
On a gentle breeze I could fly,
To a distant hill, in another land.
The immortal Gods from ages past,
Encounter my power and praise my wisdom,
Knowing that the role they left vacant,
Will be filled by justice and truth.

I wish dreams were real,
An unknown wish by light of day,
May fade and vanish into obscurity,
Unknown to the dreamer of what is lost.
The future told, or past relived,
Forgotten as the sun shines on.
Only once will dreams come true,
When the intangible is real.
